Senior Thesis Reflection

I accidentally stumbled into AE five years ago. After the completion of my senior thesis, it became apparent that this decision was the best decision of my academic career. Over the past five years, I have collected different the tools for my "toolbox" to help me become who I am today. Throughout the senior thesis project, I was able to utilize my experiences as well as the tools I obtained from the my college career in a real-life example. During the course of my thesis, I constantly pushed myself to explore and utilize what I learned from my education. I gained valuable experiences such as incorporating all aspects of the other disciplines when designing the building structure, a macro-perspective to view the design, as well as time management. With the help and guidance of the Architectural Engineering facilities the past two semesters, I am proud of what I achieved through my thesis.

CPEP Reflection

Throughout the CPEP experience, I gained many valuable skills particularly in; graphical presentation, visual aesthetics, and website development. Furthermore, I was able to improve my communication skills in regards to technical engineering concepts, diagrams, and overall systems. I learned ways to share knowledge while providing simple, easy-to-follow graphical content that allowed the site user to understand the core concepts developed throughout my thesis. I will take these lessons with me onto the professional field, and will apply them when developing presentations, deliverables, and when communicating with fellow designers within the AEC industry.
